Description

Recovery Road has released Fast FODMAP Lookup & Learn. This free, 63.7 MB app is only available in the App Store for devices with iOS 9.0 or later. The app holds a high 4.7 rating. Overall, reviewers seem to appreciate the many features the app offers.

Overview

Fast FODMAP Lookup & Learn is an upgraded version of a similar Monash University app. Before a user eats, they can input their foods into the app and see how they measure up in the FODMAP grading scale. The speed of the app to display searched or suggested food’s detailed data is the most coveted feature. Creators offers three sections: Lookup, learn, and diary.

When a food is displayed, its FODMAP score is rated as low, medium, or high. This simple scoring system makes it easier for users to determine food’s value.”

Lookup

The two main objectives of the Lookup page are speed and accuracy. When you begin typing, the app instantly offers suggestions to what foods you may mean. This incremental searching feature can shorten time spent laboring over the nutritional facts and extend the time users can enjoy their meals. The search feature is even available offline.

Learn

The Learn page use games to enhance users’ knowledge on nutrition. Games make the learning process easy and more enjoyable. Repetition ingrains facts in the minds of users so they can retain them for future use without having to search. When a food is displayed, its FODMAP score is rated as low, medium, or high. This simple scoring system makes it easier for users to determine food’s value.

Diary

The slogan of the Diary page says “Keep yourself on track”. This journal feature lets you chronicle your meals and emotions. After you eat, you can reference the app for questions such as “Are you experiencing digestive problems?” These questions can help you better understand the impact certain meals have on your goals or conditions.
